Thinking of coming to London? Our students share their advice about what to do and what not to do in the capital!

“If it is your first time in London, we recommend you seeing the English atmosphere in Camden Town, like in a typical English pub…and why not during an English match around a beer! You should avoid going out without an umbrella because here the weather is unpredictable. We suggest you visiting a lot of free museums and lovely parks like Regent’s Park or Green Park. Finally, be careful to keep your bag closed and to keep an eye on it! So enjoy your travels!”

- Andrea, Italy and Tristan, France

“Our top tips for visiting London:

-You shouldn’t forget your umbrella at home, even if it seems sunny and warm, because the weather is changeable and unpredictable.

-You should make sure your bag has zips otherwise someone could steal your wallet!

-You should say “Sorry” if you bump into someone on the street

-You should order two beers with the correct hand gesture! (or it could mean something rude!)

-You should buy an Oystercard, because it’s cheaper to travel

-You should avoid traveling in rush-hours because it’s overcrowded in the tube and it’s better take a bus.

-You should buy a PIMMS or English beers like a shandy with blackcurrant syrup in the pub.

-You should avoid going on the right side in the street and on the escalators!”
