2. Language in London - Student Experience Supervisor 

Position: Student Experience Supervisor (full-time, temporary contract) 

Reports to: School Manager 

Job purpose: To ensure that from initial enquiry to the day they leave the school that clients receive a quality language learning experience with the Language in Group 

Key responsibilities: 

• Welcome new students to the school; give an induction talk, explaining life as a student 
• Obtain and respond appropriately to Client feedback. 
• Answer and follow up Client and Agent enquiries by telephone, email, skype or face-to-face and log all correspondence through the Language in Group database. 
• Prepare and issue quotations and invoices to direct and agent bookings accurately, and within 24 hours. Arrange transport and liaise with partners regarding transport details. 
• Assist in maintenance and records of Accommodation availability, arrange placements with host families and confirm Accommodation placements with students and agents two weeks prior to arrival. 
• Ensure that the role of SES is conducted in a way that meets/exceeds criteria of external inspection and accreditation bodies. 
• Issue documentation to assist students applying for Student Visas and ensure that this is done within the parameters of applicable Immigration authorities. Continuously maintain Visa students’ personal records. 
• Ensure prompt payment of fees for clients and group bookings, and assist the School Manager with credit control 
• Complete administration for groups, and be the first point of contact for them and their leaders prior to arrival and in school. 
• Provide a level of culturally sensitive pastoral support to the Clients on Welfare issues. 
• Recruit Work Placement companies, manage relationships with companies and place students in Work Placements as necessary. 
• Manage interns to provide appropriate administrational and operational support. 
• To maintain a consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to health and safety procedures. 
• Man 24 hour Emergency phone on a rota basis with other key staff members. 
• Undertake other duties as appropriate within your competence as required by the School Manager. 
• Assist Director of Studies with administrative duties and maintenance of academic documentation.

Timetable: This is a sample timetable as the position requires flexibility to cover key times (eg. summer and out of season groups). 
Monday: 08.00 – 17.30 
Tuesday: 08.30 – 17.30 
Wednesday: 08.30 – 17.30 
Thursday: 08.30 – 17.30 
Friday: 08.30 – 17.30 

Contract: Temporary (6 months) – 25 days holidays (some of which should be taken when the school is closed at Christmas) + UK Public Holidays (pro rata) 
Salary: £20,000 – pro rata 
Start date: Preferable start date is 18/05/2015

5. Young Learner Summer Centres – summer staff needed for 2015!

The Language in Group (www.languageingroup.com), an innovative and high quality group of English language schools, is seeking motivated, positive and creative staff members for our 4 summer Young Learner (under 18) centres in England and Ireland. We are looking for excellent Centre Managers, Director of Studies, Assistant Director of Studies, EFL Teachers, Activity Managers, and Activity Leaders.

In 2015 the LinG Young Learner summer centres will be:

UK: London (Roehampton University), Totnes (Devon)

Ireland: Dublin Centre (National College of Ireland) & Dublin (South)

Positions available:

-          Centre Manager (London only): Responsible for overseeing the day to day running of a LinG Summer Centre. The role involves managing a team of activity leaders and an activity manager to successfully run a full social programme, and liaising with a Centre DOS to manage an academic programme and team of teachers. The Centre Manager will liaise daily with Group Leaders, students and staff to monitor quality and follow up on feedback. The team should maintain a high quality, safe and enjoyable programme in accordance with the Language in Group vision and mission.   Experience of managing a Young Learner centre is desirable.

-          EFL Teachers: Responsible for delivering our hugely popular Dynamic English course, ensuring lessons are fun and motivating for our young learners (between 11 and 17 year olds). There are both full and part time positions, residential and non- residential posts available.

Qualifications: CELTA or equivalent

-          Play With English Teachers: Delivering our unique curriculum for Young Learners (7-11year olds) through interactive and fun lessons.

Qualifications: Must have experience in teaching Young Learners, Celta or equivalent and ideally a PGCE.

-          Activity Managers: Leads a team of Activity Leaders to ensure the happiness, safety and security of all students in their care. They liaise with the Centre Manager to plan and book the full social programme which will include a variety of sports, creative and cultural activities and workshops for groups of under 18 students.

-          Activity Leaders Responsible for planning and running a variety of sports, creative arts, and cultural activities, and supervising students on local excursions.
